MOVING TO INDIA

India is a land between a beautiful dream and sobering reality, a subcontinent full of unique facets and impressive contrasts. Those who have decided to emigrate to India must know that a visa for India is required for entry, which varies in price and duration of stay. For example, with the so-called E-Visa, one can stay in the country for up to 60 days. It costs 50 US dollars, but it allows for multiple entries into the country.

The barriers to immigration are high. In addition to some special visas, there are four different categories for students, employees, business people, and conference participants, some of which allow a stay of up to five years. If a German citizen wishes to live in India for an extended period without a family connection, employment at an Indian company is a mandatory requirement. With the so-called “Letter of Appointment” issued by the future employer, one must appear at their competent consulate. Also mandatory are the employment contract, a certificate of academic qualification, and the official registration certificate.
