Malaysia

LAND OF BEACHES AND SKYSCRAPERS

Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country with a population of 32 million, comprised of 13 states in East and West Malaysia. 1.6 million of these residents live in the capital, Kuala Lumpur. The South China Sea separates the two parts of the country, which are roughly equal in size. Malaysia shares borders with Brunei, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia, covering a total area of approximately 330,000 square kilometers. Due to its proximity to the equator, Malaysia experiences a tropical climate. About 60 percent of the country is mountainous, with expansive jungles, river valleys, and rainforests. Additionally, Southeast Asia’s highest peak is located here, in the eastern Malaysian state of Sabah. Dense forests, mangrove swamps, and wide rivers render large parts of the country inaccessible. Today, Malaysia is one of the wealthiest and most dynamic nations in Southeast Asia, characterized by decades of political stability and continuous progress. Visitors will be enchanted by the culinary diversity and diverse landscapes, catering to both adventurers and those seeking relaxation. Culturally, Malaysia is a vibrant blend of Asian cultures, where various customs, cultures, and traditions coexist.
