Sea Container Removal from 15 cbm
Containers play a primary role for overseas removals due to their flexibility, transport chain options due to multimodal transport and thus have a good cost-benefit-ratio. Containers suitable for the sea container are 20 Feet (33 cbm), 40 Feet Standard Box (66 cbm) and 40 Feet (HC) High Cube (76 cbm). The estimation of the right volume takes place either by professional survey, which is offered free of charge by us, or by carrying out the measurement and counting and making a projection on your own.
Smaller volumes can be shipped in regular general cargo (consolidated container) in wooden crates.
Why moving with a sea container?
The advantage of the sea container removal is that your removal goods can be stored in the container directly in front of your house or in the warehouse; the closed and sealed container shall be transported with different modes of transport (truck, rail, ship, and barge) to the target address, without transhipment of the removal goods. This is very important in case of removal goods as the risk of damage or loss shall be minimised. Moreover, those who are relocating have the option to load larger goods like trucks, motor cycles and machines along with the removal goods in a large sea container (40′ Container or 40′ HC). After professional packaging, loading and securing the content in the sea container, a comprehensive insurance can be purchased in advance.
Advantages of a cargo insurance
For the insurance provider, the risks can be calculated, and the insurance costs can be acceptable accordingly. In case of self-loading, only a primary cover (total loss) can be organised.
Purchase container / Shipping container
Those who are relocating can also use their own container, so-called purchased container or owned container, for the sea container removal. We offer our customers pre-owned and as good as new containers for buying. In specific case, buying of a container can be beneficial, so-called shipping containers are generally used.
