Shipment in containers or RoRo?
Every Car transport and Machine transport is basically possible with two different procedures. If every item to be loaded (the unit) can be loaded and secured in a container based on its dimension, shipment in the sea containers is preferred in most of the cases due to flexibility and often also due to cost. Furthermore, especially for the vehicles, a cargo insurance against damages is bought in advance for many shipping routes (with particular risk), preferably for the goods transported in containers, as if the vehicles are free on the ship. For large vehicles and oversized units, the Roll on Roll off-procedure for rolling and break bulk loading for stationary goods are without any alternative.

You can deliver the vehicles and machines for packing- and accumulation operation on your own or get them picked up by us. The protection in containers can take place in different ways, with belts and other lashing material, with custom-built walls and supports in the container, wooden crates, special cushioning and padding material, etc.
RoRo-Transportation (Roll on Roll off)
A special area within the sea freights represents the so-called Roll on Roll off-Transportation. Roll on Roll off ships are the vessels which receive and transport the wheeled cargo on its own axle or oversized loading units (which should be disassembled and stored in containers) on movable platforms or under the deck. Vehicles of all classes, construction equipments and also stationary goods like machine units and equipments can be loaded onto the ship and unloaded again. Certain shipping companies have this mode of transportation. There are few large companies, which have a main market share and also few small companies, which have specialised on specific shipping routes.
