MOVING TO CANADA

Canada is one of the most popular immigration countries worldwide. It’s no surprise that currently about 150,000 Germans reside in Canada. Many people who come to Canada hope to start a new life here. Those wishing to emigrate to Canada should start planning early. After all, emigrants not only need to consider what items they would like to take with them – but the entry process, shipping of household goods, and job search also need to be planned. An important aspect in this context is understanding which immigration laws need to be observed.

We, the team at OTC Global GmbH, are here to assist you with all questions regarding emigrating to Canada. Your furniture, personal belongings, and valuables are in the best hands with us. You can rely on our high service quality and personal customer care.

ENTRY AND VISA

As a tourist, entry into Canada without a visa is allowed – however, those who wish to stay longer cannot avoid applying for a visa. Certain conditions must be met for a Canada visa. There are three options: the family visa, the investor visa, and the skilled worker visa. A family visa is granted to those who emigrate as a family member to a Canadian. To obtain an investor visa, one must establish a company in Canada. Furthermore, a personal net worth of 1.6 million Canadian dollars and an investment of 800,000 Canadian dollars are required. A skilled worker visa is granted to those who come to the country as skilled workers. Thus, the skilled worker visa is the most common form of Canada visa – after all, there is a shortage of skilled workers in many trades, IT jobs, and healthcare professions.

FLEXIBLE SUPPORT AND INDIVIDUAL MOVING CONCEPT

Admittedly, job hunting in Canada is not always easy. Those who come to work in Canada must complete a comprehensive eligibility test, which requires a score of at least 67 points. Factors such as age, qualifications, education level, work experience, and adaptability of the applicant are assessed. To receive a work permit, the applicant must also present a specific job offer from a Canadian employer. On the other hand, the future employer must prove that there is no Canadian who could perform the job just as well. Doctors and scientists, in particular, have good job prospects. But the construction industry, medical and environmental technology, and mechanical engineering are also growth sectors in the country. Once the visa and residence permit are in place, nothing stands in the way of the move to Canada. In principle, all used furniture and household items can be taken along. However, for electrical appliances, it’s worth considering that Canada has a different voltage. As an experienced forwarder and competent logistics company, we develop an individual moving concept for you that brings you comfortably to your new home in Canada. From packing to delivery, everything is perfectly timed and optimally coordinated so that you can focus on other things.
