Removal with overseas container
You can decide:
- whether you will pack your removal goods on your own and let us load them.
- whether you will pack and also load on your own.
- or whether you will let us pack and load your complete removal goods including your furniture.
Vehicle transport
If required, we will carry out a safe vehicle transport for you! However, there are high import costs for imported used cars. Since you can buy relatively inexpensive used vehicles locally, it is rarely worth taking your own car with you.
Moving to Panama – important information on Visa and entry
For the relocation for the first time in the country in which there is an isthmus connecting Central and South America, you will be exempted from the import duties for household goods. There are special facilities also for issuing the visa. Thus permanent employees, managers from foreign country and their families obtain a five year visa, which can be again renewed for five years. One who has such a visa does not require another work permit. However, this regulation is not applicable for temporary employees.
German nationals can stay in the country for 180 days without Visa.
If you would like to stay longer than 180 days in Panama, you must apply for Residence permit (Residencia). You can obtain this permit (Visa) from Consulate or Panamanian embassy of your home town. Children require separate identification document.
With the “Friends of Panama” Visa, immigrants can ensure a stay for longer duration. For that, you require a local bank account with a credit balance of at least 5,000 US-Dollar; in addition to this, you must produce a valid employment agreement, open a shop or acquire a property. The investors willing to immigrate must make a basic investment here. You can obtain the detailed information for entry requirements for your moving to Panama in the concerned embassies and consulates of your home town.
Note: You have to arrange the necessary documents promptly because monitoring in the country is very strict and can lead to immediate expulsion (see the relevant information from the ministry of Foreign affairs).
