CLOSE RELATIONS WITH GERMANY
The relations between Spain and Germany are close and friendly. Approximately 100,000 Germans are registered in Spain , around double that number Spanish people live in Germany.
The exchange is necessary even at the business level: For German company, the country is an importatnt business place. Transport to from Spain, for e.g, for transport Barcelona are similarly, at the fore. Spain is a largest import and export nation of the world.
The road and expressway network is built similarly good, which stretches to a length of approximately 700,000 Kilometers . Most of the roads are paved, whereby some remote areas are toll-controlled.
Even the shipping plays an important role for the spanish economy : large Sea ports include Gijón, Bilbao, Valencia, Algeciras and Barcelona. The rivers in the interior parts of the country are not easily reachable by ships. One exception is the Guadalquivir between the city of Sevilla and Atlantic Ocean, which can also use the deep-sea vessel.
The spanish railway network is run by state railway network society Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Españoles (RENFE) .
In spite of that, many spanish cities demand an airport, whereby the airport Madrid and Barcelona belong to the ten largest airports of Europe.
